When a SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report is created, a data source is used to connect the report to database. As a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MEMCM / MECM / SCCM / ConfigMgr ) Administrator we can find many SSRS reports on the internet. But when you upload SSRS Report (RDL) to your SSRS website site you will get an error about connecting the the data source. This blog post shows you how to change the SSRS DataSource. The data source may not exist on your SSRS site therefore you will need to point it to a data source that does exist on your site.

How to Change a SSRS DataSource for a Report

Use these steps to re-point the data source to an existing data source.

Connect to your SSRS site

Browse to the appropriate folder

Click on the report where you want to change the data source

After that, click on the Properties tab

Again, click on the Data Sources link (see it on the left-hand side)
